I have spent many weeks designing this case for your Asus Eee Pad. I've rejected and re-designed countless prototypes of this case, experimenting with colours and textures to come up with something unique that I think you will love to own.
For the material I have chosen high quality genuine leather. It has irregular creasing over the surface; the way worn in, quality genuine leather should look. This means that not only will your tablet look stylish and professional, but the leather will also provide greater durability and protection than the cheaper leather cases you have considered buying. The stripe of white genuine leather gives your case a designer touch that will make your tablet stand out from the crowd.
I have measured, checked and tested every port, button, camera, speaker and sensor and customised the cut-outs for every one. This means you can use all the tablet's features without having to remove it from the case. I have included a secure Velcro tab, which means your tablet will be held tightly in place and won't ever fall out.
I have gone against the trend of using magnets for closure on this case and opted for a traditional stud fastener. Why? Not only does it give you a much more secure closure, but it won't cause interference to your tablet's internal compass. During testing we discovered that magnets in the cover actually interfered with the tablet's compass. All those cool navigation apps didn't work accurately, or sometimes at all! Why risk it?
The styling of this case is probably my favourite feature. The layered design was inspired by the leathery shell of the armadillo. Their armour is formed of small overlapping scales which protect them from predators. This overlapping creates a stronger more rigid case cover resulting in greater protection of your tablet. The layers also have the added function of creating the viewing and typing positions, pretty cool hey.
